8. Amoxicillin, rum, kimonos and maybe a little writing darling, if you can manage it.
I was going to give you the recipe for Indian Tea Biscuits, but
then I realised it was just a waste of time, a distraction from the work I
really need to be concentrating on, I am my own worst enemy. Do I have a fear
of success? You can look up the recipe yourselves, that’s what the internet and
really good cookbooks are for.
I’m getting better, slowly, if any of you are
interested.
I received a letter from God yesterday. You
can take that literally or metaphorically if you like. The gist of it was I
need to put the past behind me and move on, I need to finish or discard old projects
so that I can move on. So, this got me thinking. I am going to finish In the Dark and The Murder of Miss O, 365 Nights will finish itself in due time as
long as I keep writing. So this only leaves Vermilion/In
a Night Rapunzel, Primordial Soup
and The Butterfly Collection as
active unfinished projects, the ones I have yet to start can be discarded.
I can discard Primordial Soup. Then that leaves two.
I want to finish the final two, so I will.
Sorted.
Not a lot of publishers are taking submissions
without an agent, and some are just out of business.
