14. Rule 1: Hope is a Sin.
It’s 2014.
May. The 19th.
I’m 28. I’m still here.
My sisters moved back home so I’m sharing a room again. I don’t have a
job, but then again I don’t want one. What I want is right in front of me. But
it isn’t a matter of reaching for it; I have to move towards it. So that’s what
I’m doing.
Slow and steady wins the race. Patience is a virtue, so on and so on…
‘If you take any activity, any art, any
discipline, any skill – take it and push it as far as it will go, push it
beyond where it has ever been before, push it to the wildest edges of edges,
then you force it into the realm of magic.’ - Tom Robbins.
‘Purity of writing is purity of
soul’ – Arabic Proverb.
‘Accuracy in building words and
sentences is the highest form of architecture in civilisation.’ – Charles F.
Haanel.
‘Dreaming dreams no mortal ever
dared to dream before’. – Edgar Allan Poe.
‘Writing should be about the
creation of beautiful sentences, about the universe that can be contained
within a single line of text, and the infinity of the perfectly crafted story.’
- Issara Edwards.
