How to Be Your Own Agent.

 

I’ve been thinking about this, I’ve been allowing myself to get too emotional. I have to believe in what I’m selling, believe in myself. I have to create competition. I am the hottest new writer in the world right now and all these publishers should be coming to me, they should be bidding for me, not me paying them.

Too narcissistic?

Then again, none of this matters if you’ve run out of publishers to send to, can’t afford the new writer’s yearbook, which probably has all the same stuff in anyway and the price of stamps has gone up.

I should just stop whining, I’m annoying myself.

This is really simple.

Give up. Right here. Right now.

Or.

Accept that my life is banging my head against a brick wall and trying to make a door. I suppose it depends on how tough the wall is, right?

It does feel pretty tough.
