23. Rule 10: Everything is somewhere.

I have a bar of salted dark chocolate hidden in a box of Tarot cards;
I’ve been saving it for emergencies. Aleister Crowley would be so proud.
Dear…
I am writing to introduce my debut novella, Amen. It is a literary novella consisting of 20,466 words.
The novella is set in the mind of a twenty year old student as he
struggles with the duelling natures of his life, faith and sexuality, leading
to an ever disintegrating mental state.
Rather than running from events A to B, the story is set in the main
character’s mind (who remains nameless throughout the whole book) and is told
through his thoughts, as well as journal extracts.
This novella has been with me for a long time, written and tweaked over
a number of years, following me as I’ve moved from artist to writer. It has
been with me through my English Language and Psychology studies, and my four
years studying Art and Design at college and university.
My writing has been exhibited in the Frisk Design Show in London and I
have had publishing opportunities before, having a poem published in a local
magazine and a short story published in an anthology called Tell Me a Tale.
Amen has also been offered a publishing contract, but being a new
writer, I really believe I should consider all my options, which is why I am
writing to you.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter,
I hope to hear from you soon.
